UGr – Universität Greifswald (Germany)

The department of Health Care Management (HCM) of the University of Greifswald, one of the oldest universities in Germany, is located in the school of economics and law, but with very close links to the medical school. The research focus is on costing of health care services, including literature analyses on cost parameters, collection of primary data on costs, modelling the spread of infectious and chronic diseases, cost-effectiveness of interventions against infectious and chronic diseases, development of guidelines and policy briefs for policy- and decision-makers in the health care field. The department has a strong focus on health care in low-income countries. Unique in Germany, it offers a specialization in international health care management with a focus on low-income countries within this master program.
